Wapa’as Basket

Hemp cord, raffia, yarn, white buckskin.

What is a wapaas basket?

A basket for storing many things, like roots and berries, with a round base and twined sides. The tighter the twined sides, the more stiffly the basket stands, indicating the skill of the weaver.
